Snorre the Snowman – Amigurumi Crochet Pattern
Materials
- Yarn/wool: I have used Catania yarn from Schachenmayr in white (0106 < 50g), orange (0192 < 50g), black (0110 < 50g) and red (0189 < 50g).
- Crochet hook: 3.0 mm
- Tapestry needle
- Filling
- Pipe cleaner for the arms
- Four 6 mm black safety eyes
Abbreviations
St(s) – stitch(es)
Ch – chain
Sc – single crochet
Hdc – halb double crochet
Slst – slip stitch
Inc – increase (2 sc in next st)
Dec – decrease (2 sc worked off together)
(nr) – indicates the total number of stitches in the current row/round
FO – fasten off
Important Notes
- All rounds are worked in a continuous spiral (except scarf and hatband). Do not join or turn, unless instructed otherwise
- You may find it useful to use a stitchmarker for counting your rounds
- Take your time to create your amigurumi’s face, it is a very important part of the final result
- While stuffing take care to give each part a nice shape

Start stuffing the body and keep on stuffing as you go on. Create the arms from the pipe cleaner. Create a small loop in the middle, it will secure the position of the arms. Insert the arm into the holes created in Round 15. From the arms, give them a nice “branch” shape.
Insert the safety eyes into the body for creating Snorre’s buttons. See exact place on the picture below.

Stuff the foot softly.

FO. Close the hole by leading the thread through the front loops of last round, pull it tight and weave the yarn tail into the foot.
